Scientists find vitamin D crucial in human immune response to tuberculosis

A potentially fatal lung disease, tuberculosis is estimated to cause 1.8 million deaths annually and especially impacts those with reduced immunity such as HIV-infected individuals, according to the World Health Organization.In an interesting twist, people with darker skin traditionally have had a higher susceptibility to tuberculosis and areas of Africa lead the world with the highest infection rates. Scientists believe this may be partly due to the skin pigment melanin, which is more abundant in darker skin that shields the body from absorbing ultraviolet rays, but also reduces vitamin D production.
Vitamin D -- a natural hormone, rather than a vitamin-- is known to be instrumental in bone development, but also may protect against cancer and autoimmune diseases, as well as fight infections.
Could AIDS be caused by a Vitamin Deficiency?Quite possibly, when we brought the black people in Africa our 'civilization', we also brought them immune insufficiency by cutting them off from the sun they have historically developed to partially filter out by wearing dark skin.
The clothing and indoors lifestyle we introduced must have removed more than 90% of their 'normal' sun exposure, which of course translates to a better than 90% cut in vitamin D availability and a correspondingly increased likelihood to have a weak immune system and therefore to "test positive" when taking the "HIV" test.
Once we tell them they tested positive to "HIV antibodies" we then treat them with highly toxic antiretroviral drugs and voilà - we caused an AIDS epidemic in black Africa. (And not only in Africa but also among the Black people living in other areas of the globe.)
Coupled with the rather unspecific nature of the "HIV test", would hat not finally explain why it is that Caucasians, as well as Asians and even Hispanics are much less likely than Blacks to "test HIV positive"... and to eventually develop 'AIDS'.
We should really check this hypothesis by matching HIV positive tests with a vitamin D defiiency test. If they coincide...
IIf you were to visit your family doctor with a lingering cold and ask something along the lines of whether you should take supplemental zinc to help get back to health, you could probably expect a response along the lines of, “Well it probably won’t hurt,” perhaps along with a polite, reassuring “you ignorant moron” chuckle. You see there are very in-depth pharmacology courses in medical school, though I don’t recall even a single page on anti-infective properties of zinc. Therefore unless this happens to be a particular area of interest, as it is not taught in medical school or continuing education symposia, a physician would confidently assume that there is no good evidence for zinc to be of use in this indication.
Interestingly enough though we have compelling evidence that (like vitamin D and high dose vitamin C) zinc is, through immune modulation and possible direct effects, a broad spectrum if not terribly powerful anti-viral.

Why are our tax dollars going to subsidize the creation of Frankenfish? It's bad enough the government has totally failed to do any kind of regulation for genetically modified organisms (GMOs), including blocking attempts to at least mandate labeling for these artificial and barely-tested foods.
Food and Water Watch, a national consumer group, on October 3 revealed that a corporation that has launched a for-profit venture to raise genetically engineered salmon has received $1.95 million in federal research grants at taxpayer expense.
The revelation followed on the heels of an article in Grist that exposed how AquaBounty Technology recently received $494,000 to study technologies that would render the genetically engineered salmon sterile.
USA: Are FDA’s Explanations of Cantaloupe Listeria Outbreak a Farce?
We have seen mass scare mongering about the Listeria outbreak. The number of deaths that the FDA claims were caused by it have reached 25, and are predicted to go higher. Let’s examine that.
The single most salient point about the deaths associated with Listeria is that the median age of people who’ve died is 87 years. Note that’s the median, not average, age of death. The median is the midway point between the two extremes. That is, it’s halfway between the ages of the oldest person who died and the youngest person who died. In this outbreak, the oldest death was at 96 years of age, which is 9 years older than the median. That means that the youngest person to die was 78 years old...
USA - Drug Prohibition: The War on Medical Marijuana Escalates
Signaling an intensification of federal government targeting of medical marijuana providers, the four US Attorneys in California Friday announced a campaign of "coordinated enforcement actions targeting the illegal operations of the commercial marijuana industry in California." The announcement came at a Sacramento news conference.
The federal prosecutors said their enforcement actions would rely on pursuing civil forfeiture lawsuits against properties where dispensaries are located, threatening letters to dispensary landlords, and criminal prosecutions. The prosecutors said recent dispensary busts in Fresno, Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Diego were part of the enforcement campaign.
USA: Wisconsin Considers Exempting Pharmaceutical Drug and Device Makers from Responsibility
At the behest of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, a state Senate committee has proposed a bill that would protect drug and device makers from liability in state lawsuits, so long as their products were approved by the FDA. The only exception that would be granted under the legislation is if a manufacturer committed fraud against the FDA.
The global diabetes epidemic continues on “a relentlessly upward trajectory”, according to officials from the International Diabetes Federation and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. The number of people with diabetes in 2011 has reached 366 million (up almost 30 percent from 2010); 4.6 million will die from the condition, and healthcare spending is now US$465 billion a year. Comparable figures were released by the World Health Organisation: 346 million people worldwide have diabetes, and 3.4 million died from the condition in 2004. WHO estimates that in the period 2006-2015, China will lose US$558 billion in national income due to heart disease, stroke and diabetes alone.
This must be something we are doing to ourselves - perhaps something we are eating (refined sugar comes to mind, but also some of the artificial sweeteners) or not eating, or something we are doing (watching too much TV?) or not doing (getting out of the house into the fresh air and taking a walk?). The article does point to life style changes as the probable solution.Our major problem is that health authorities are too afraid to piss off some major industry like pharma, food, electronics, so they avoid recommending the radical changes needed to turn the situation around. And meanwhile - people suffer and die...
Multiple drug sensitivity (the outcome of grossly over-prescribed medications)
Some percentage of us who’ve withdrawn from excessive amounts of psychiatric drugs or in some cases just a bad reaction to one psychiatric drug can become hypersensitive to any and all psychotropic medications as well as any other drugs and many supplements too that cross the blood/brain barrier. There is a spectrum as well with some people having more or less sensitivities. At the extreme, since many of these medicines are used in emergency treatment it’s actually dangerous for us to go to an emergency room even in a true emergency! A doctor who doesn’t understand the nature of the iatrogenic illness some of us have could actually kill us while doing standard care.
I was pleased to find a doctor who understood this. It’s been hell trying to work with anyone at all, whether they are conventional MDs or alternative doctors, virtually no one understands the nature of this hypersensitivity.
USA: Feds continue to ignore mounting Gardasil body count
It was too late for 21-year-old Christina Tarsell and 17-year-old Jessica Ericzon. Both healthy, athletic young women suddenly dropped dead shortly after receiving their final injection of Gardasil, a vaccine developed by Merck to protect girls and young women from cervical cancer caused by the human papilloma virus.
But when Christina’s and Jessica’s shocked families tried to get the Food and Drug Administration to investigate a vaccine it had inexplicably fast-tracked through the approval process even though only one percent of all cancer deaths are due to cervical cancer, they hit a brick wall.

Some months back I did a couple posts on Gardasil and mentioned two websites Jenny’s Journey and The Truth about Gardasil dedicated to warning parents and patients about the dangers of the Gardasil vaccine. I recently stumbled upon a non-profit group called Sane Vax. They also have an extensive section of case histories of young women seriously harmed by this vaccine. While these case reports are not in the medical literature I would argue that they are more trustworthy then those written in journals in that, 1) they are not anonymous and 2) they are the exact words of the patient or parents impacted by the adverse event. The government keeps a database of adverse vaccine reactions known as VAERS. One parent had a very succinct critique of this program...

The public-interest group Judicial Watch has obtained the documents through the Freedom of Information Act from the Food and Drug Administration detailing reports of harmful reactions to the vaccination for human papillomavirus, also known as HPV.
"The adverse-reaction reports detail 26 new deaths reported between Sept. 1, 2010, and Sept. 15, 2011, as well as incidents of seizures, paralysis, blindness, pancreatitis, speech problems, short-term memory loss and Guillain-Barré Syndrome," Judicial Watch said.

Haitians have suffered the worst cholera outbreak in the world as a direct result of fouled water. So, what does the United Nations want to do? Vaccinate! USA: The CDC Has Known All Along How Dangerous Vaccines Are - And Has Covered It Up... (Part Two)

Vaccines Narcolepsy and Sudden Infant Death

Study: Most Cell Users Exposed To Alarming Radiation Levels
A new report suggests that 97 percent of Americans are exposed to cell phone radiation levels well above the Federal Communications Commission limit.
The FCC underestimates the amount of radiation that people who carry cell phones are exposed to, according to the a study published in the journal Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine.
"The standard for cell phones has been developed based on old science and old models and old assumptions about how we use cell phones and that's why they need to change," said Devra Lee Davis of the Environmental Health Trust.
