World Aids Day: Time to change? - Health Supreme NewsGrabs Wednesday, 1 December 2010

1 December - World Aids Day
Years ago, there were few contrary views. This site was like a lone voice in the desert... but times, they are a'changin.

There is a thriving movement now of people who are no longer deceived by the AIDS scam.

In my personal view, we are dealing with a rather successful program to diminish the ranks of certain non-conformist strata of Western society and an all-out assault on those humans who occupy the most mineral-rich continent of the world: Africa. How is it done? By re-defining over 60 known illnesses, lumping them together and calling them AIDS. The weapon of mass destruction being deployed is called HAART. The side effects of drugs promoted as life-saving are killing people ... not "HIV".

Aids is also a huge money maker for a lot of people, including but not only Aids campaigners, whole research institutes and the owners of pharmaceutical shares...

Germany Requires Doctor's Prescription for Common Herbs: EU Plans the Same
German customs and health authorities are stopping herbal detox products from entering the country.

"The products were examined by the State Office for Health, which identified them as "medicine". Medicines may be imported from other countries only if they have been approved within the Medical Law by German federal agencies and the recipient has approval to import them.

Non-approved medicines may be imported only if they can be marketed in both the countries of origin and receipt and if they are provided in quantities and doses that are provided by pharmacies and the receiver has a doctor's prescription or license to import them."

Under the German-inspired European Herbal Medicines Directive, the same can be expected to happen soon in other EU countries, unless the European legislators and the bureaucrats that run the EU Commission realize that they are making a serious mistake, one that may - in time - cost them their jobs and perhaps the Union itself.

Magnesium Reduces Sudden Cardiac Death Risk in Women
Researchers at Harvard Medical School followed 88,375 women for 26 years, evaluating their magnesium intake, blood levels of magnesium, and the number of sudden cardiac deaths (heart attacks – often caused by arrhythmia). Women with blood levels of magnesium in the highest quartile had a 77% reduced risk of sudden cardiac death.

There is no drug or combination of drugs that can claim a similar rate of reduced mortality for a sudden cardiac arrest. Since magnesium is low in many diets and is used up by stress it is one of the most important nutrients in a basic supplement support program.

Vitamin D targets increased
But some scientists say new recommendations are still way too low
Vitamin D recommendations hadn't been changed since 1997. And despite a wave of studies suggesting that the "sunshine vitamin" has benefits going far beyond bone health, the panel restricted its rationale to just that. Apart from aiding bone fitness, the panel said, the benefits of vitamin D "are currently not supported by evidence that could be judged either convincing or adequate." The report authors cited a lack of cause-and-effect data from vitamin D studies of other purported benefits and said those studies didn't clearly delineate the doses needed to achieve the benefits.

Canada: U.S. scanners present skin cancer risk
U .S. scientists warned Friday that the full-body, graphic-image X-ray scanners that are being used to screen passengers at airports around that country may be unsafe, raising concerns for Canadians traveling south of the border.

"They say the risk is minimal, but statistically someone is going to get skin cancer from these X-rays," said Dr. Michael Love, who runs an X-ray lab at the department of biophysics and biophysical chemistry at Johns Hopkins University School of medicine.

The Colorful History of Colloidal Silver & Other Silver Compounds
Colloidal silver is the product the FDA and many mainstream medical people love to hate. Listening to them you would think every person taking colloidal silver is going to turn gray with silver accumulation in their skin (argyria). Their worst nightmare is people taking colloidal silver to combat the H1N1 swine flu – the nightmare for them is that it might actually work.

MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS: CONFUSION
A doctor suspects you have disease X, which is caused by virus Y. He takes a blood sample, and that sample is examined for the presence of antibodies which are specific to virus Y.

If you test positive for the presence of those antibodies, he says you have disease X.

However, there is a vaccine that is supposed to protect a person from disease X, and this vaccine does what?

IT PRODUCES ANTIBODIES SPECIFIC TO VIRUS Y.

In that case, you are said to be immune from virus Y.

Drug Prices: China To Cap Prices On Meds From Foreign Pharma
Until now, meds by overseas drugmakers were often eligible for independent pricing and exempted from previous rounds of price reductions as part of a program established in 2000, the paper continues. According to the China Pharmaceutical Industry Research and Development Association, the average price of nine foreign independently priced drugs is 1,311 percent higher than domestic meds.

Independently priced drugs 13 times as expensive as the local norm? Perhaps this effort to reduce excessive drug pricing is an example the US should be thinking about imitating. Aren't there some difficulties in the US to pay for the costs of health care, especially the costs of pharmaceutical drugs?

Biphosphonate Drugs Cause Bone Necrosis - Novartis Must Pay
A North Carolina jury decided that Novartis failed to adequately warn about the risks of its Zometa and Aredia bone-strengthening meds and awarded $12.8 million to Rita Fussman, whose family claimed she suffered jawbone damage while dying of breast cancer last year...

This was the third such lawsuit to go to trial over the Novartis drugs. Last month, a New Jersey jury rejected claims by a woman who similarly charged the meds caused her jaw damage. And last October, a Montana jury ordered Novartis to pay $3.2 million in damages to a cancer patient who made the same claims. This same dispute, by the way, plagues Merck, which last week won a trial involving its Fosamax med.

A VACCINE CHALLENGE TO MAINSTREAM RESEARCHERS
HAS A TRUE CONTROLLED STUDY ON A VACCINE EVER BEEN DONE?
Here is my assertion: this kind of controlled study on vaccines has never been done. It has never been done for any vaccine anywhere, at any time.

And I have no reason to believe it will ever be done.

If you can show me the existence of this kind of controlled study on a vaccine, send me the citation.

If none exists, we can say that the kind of test which would assure us vaccines are safe and effective has never been carried out.

UK: Toddlers will have jabs for SIX diseases at once
Toddlers are to be inoculated against six diseases at once in a bid to boost vaccination rates, the Government revealed yesterday.

The chief medical officer has told GPs to give the vaccines – including the MMR jab – during a single surgery visit once a baby has passed his or her first birthday.

The ‘super-vaccination’ day will involve three injections to protect against measles, mumps, rubella, two forms of meningitis and bacteria that can cause pneumonia.

The great vaccine experiment continues ... without controls.

Most kids with autism Misdiagnosed. They Have Vaccine-induced Brain Damage
I was in Atlanta a couple of months ago with Aimee Carson, she's the head of Moms Against Mercury and they wanted to take a swine flu vaccine, or pretend ... and break it open in front of the Center for Disease Control. And then we all dressed up with hazard suiots and they wouldn't let her because they said: "You'll be arrested because it's a federal offense to spill mercury on the streets." Well, it's a federal offense to spill mercury but there's no problem injecting mercury, aluminium, toxic materials into our children.

Are You Taking Any of These Dangerous Drugs?
If you think pharma is producing a lot of expensive, dangerous injectables lately, you're right. Yesterday's blockbuster pills have been supplanted with vaccines and biologics that are more lucrative and safer ... from generic competition, that is.

US: Is Whooping Cough Vaccine Working?
An investigation by KBPS Public Broadcasting of San Diego raises questions about vaccine effectiveness:

There have been 332 confirmed cases of whooping cough in San Diego County in 2010 up to August 24. Of those cases, 197 (or some 60 percent) were up-to-date with their vaccinations.

UK: More Than 16,000 Adverse Reactions to Meningitis Vaccine in One Year
Figures compiled by The Observer, however, appear to contradict those published by the government. According to their statistics, there has been only an 18 percent drop in the total number of meningitis cases, from 713 cases during the first eight months of 1999 to 587 through the same time frame this year. Moreover, in parts of London, East Anglia and the West Midlands, there has even been a rise this year in the number of people diagnosed with the disease.

The Observer also reported that as of August 29, MCA and CSM had received 7,742 Yellow Card reports associated with the meningitis C vaccine, with symptoms ranging from headaches and dizziness to vomiting and convulsions. Although each report corresponded to one patient, many reports listed more than one reaction (for instance, nausea and headache), bringing the total number of adverse reactions that may have been caused by the vaccine to 16,527 - approximately one reaction for every 907 doses given.

In addition to the adverse reactions, 12 deaths occurring in people who had been recently vaccinated have been reported to the CSM. Seven of the deaths were a result of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS); one patient died of a convulsion 10 days after being vaccinated.

While those numbers are high, the actual numbers may be much higher. The Department of Health estimates that only 10-15 percent of reactions are reported using the Yellow Card Scheme. Based on that estimation, the actual number of people experiencing adverse reactions to the meningitis vaccine could be in the tens of thousands.

Health officials have downplayed those numbers, insisting that the vaccine has saved lives and prevented disabilities. A statement released by CSM and the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation in August said that "the balance of risk and benefit is overwhelmingly favourable" and that "there is no suggestion that this vaccine has led to any deaths."

NON-THERMAL EFFECTS AND MECHANISMS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS AND LIVING MATTER - An ICEMS Monograph
The expansion of mobile telephone technologies in the last 10 years is without prece- dent. In 1996 the number of cellular telephones in Italy was circa 4 million, today this figure is estimated to be 40 million. In the US, cellular telephones in the 1990s numbered 9 million, today more than 150 million Americans use cell phones, including children. It is estimated than more than 2 billion people use cell phones worldwide. In addition, many citizens are exposed to electromagnetic fields originating from the antennas of radio base stations that transmit cellular signals. Indeed, exposure to electromagnetic fields of radiofrequency and microwave, in both the work and general environment, has never before experienced this type of growth. For this reason it is fundamentally impor- tant to address the issue of safety, using all available tools to evaluate the potential risks of exposure. These tools include both epidemiological and experimental laboratory studies, as well as basic research. - Morando Soffritti

Protection against Non Ionizing Radiation is based on a paradigmatic assumption:

“We know very well the interaction between electromagnetic fields and living organisms: it is a thermal interaction; thus the standards internationally accepted are adequate to protect people and workers”.

This is a fairy tale.

Since the 1970s the non thermal effects of electromagnetic fields on living organisms have been well known and also the non thermal mechanisms have been investigated. Nevertheless, until today, we have been condemned to listen to representatives from international institutions repeating the old refrain above. - Livio Giuliani

Prescription for herbs in Germany.

I live in Belgium and would like to comment on this article. Although it is not so bad here, and I still can import supplements from the US, I experience more scrutiny from customs. Sometimes it looks like harassment. It takes more than one month to clear mushroom extracts from customs. First they do nothing when the shipment arrives in Belgium, then when you call for information on the shipment, they say there was no invoice included and they will send you some documents to fill in and return. Failing to do so, the shipment will be sent back (note that when I received the package, 3 copies of the invoice were in the plastic document pouch sticking on the side of the box!!!!). Then they do nothing, when you call in again, they say the shipment has to be cleared by the Federal Food Agency (Belgium's FDA). In the end, I received the supplements, more than one month after ordering, and I paid for express delivery (3 days). Now, and this is the most important thing that people in Germany should check out, I tried to find the law that gave them the right to do such things and to my surprise, there is non. The only legal pathway they use to play tricks on us is a law that says I can't import and DISTRIBUTE or SELL supplements that aren't cleared by the FAVV. The current law doesn't say anything about any prohibition when a private person imports herbs/supplements for personal use. AND the law says that herbs on the "black list" can't be used to produce foods or supplements for distribution and/or sale. Nothing about importing for personal use, even with so called dangerous herbs. Furthermore, on most of the US supplement it says : "this product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease". Only a medicine does that so, the German food safety officers was clearly wrong stating that the supplement is medication. Furthermore, there is also the universal declaration of human rights, and it is violated in Germany. You have the right to be your own doctor, so write the prescription yourself. Tell them you know what you're doing, you know the product and how to use it safely. I travel a lot, and I don't want my supplement to go through X-ray scanners over and over again. It's always a conflict with security officers, but when I read them the Declaration of Human Rights, I can pass, no X-rays, only visual inspection. Don't give up, fight back because it is important ! Good luck !

FYI : Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Article 2 : Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

Article 3 : Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

Article 25.1 : Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.
