Health Supreme's Daily News Grabs - a selection of alternative health news.

Cervical Cancer Vaccine for Boys?

In what appears to be a blatant if somewhat desperate sales move by pharmaceutical companies, health "experts" are now recommending the newly developed papilloma virus vaccine, which is supposed to protect against a rare form of cancer of the cervix, to be a universal vaccine. The estimated price tag - billions of dollars if given only to girls, but now the recommendation is to inoculate men and women.

Lyme disease - A possible cure
After 13 years of suffering with Lyme disease, a possible cure has been stumbled upon. A cumulative effect of much research has produced the possibility that salt and vitamin C may be all that is needed to beat this elusive illness. Without going into a lot of detail, our theory is that Lyme is not just a bacterial disease, but also an infestation of microfilarial worms. Bacteria, worms, internal mites and the possibility of other creatures have been quite horrifying.

This is an anonymous site of Lime sufferers documenting the infestation with numerous photographs and explaining the simple cure they discovered and which apparently worked well...

Painkillers may raise heart attack risk
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - All painkillers of the type known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) seem to increase the risk of having a heart attack, according to a population-based study conducted in Finland. The finding applies not only to selective COX-2 inhibitors such as celecoxib but also to non-selective drugs like ibuprofen or naproxen.

The Meltdown of Public Health and Personal Freedom
When 16-year-old Abraham Cherrix refused to take another round of chemotherapy, his parents quickly found the state wanted custody of their child so they could enforce "health care." Not only is the child sick and struggling; now he must go to court simply to defend his own health freedom. In patient-centered care, his doctor would be standing up for him. In totalitarian public health, doctors quiver in their boots rather than rock the boat. Yes, we live in the era where the doctor-patient relationship is defined by laws created for drug companies, held in place by state public health laws and a legion of whimpy doctors who cow-toe and live in fear of their licensing boards.....

Aspartame - The Worlds Best Ant Poison
I opened two packets of aspartame sweetener, and dumped one in a corner of each of our bathrooms. That was about 2 years ago and I have not seen any carpenter ants for about 9 to 12 months. It works better than the most deadly poisons I have tried. Any time they show up again, I simply dump another package of Nutrasweet in a corner, and they will be gone for a year or so again...
